7 Fatty Foods to Eat For a Flat Belly

The Reason We Got So Fat

The "experts" told you to cut the so-called artery-clogging fat from your diet. They were wrong! The world became fatter and sicker after medical whizzes, nutritionists demonized fat - People around started eating low-fat or no fats foods because this is what they heard was best for optimal health. But not all fats are bad; there are healthy ones that need adding - NOT CUTTING OUT! - to our diets instead of cutting them completely.

And look at how things ended up: people became fatter.

So don't make the same mistake - add some healthy fats to your diet and start seeing results!

Granny New Best

In granny's day, people were healthier and happier. They didn't need to worry about obesity or type-2 diabetes because they ate plenty of nuts cheese eggs fatty cuts of meat full-fat dairy etc., which is why there wasn’t much concern about overweight issues in general back then!

In modern society where we eat far less healthy food than our ancestors did (think fast foods), people are sicker and fatter. And because we're so out of balance, it's no wonder that there has been a dramatic rise in the number of overweight people on the planet.

Why You Should Eat More Fat

The body needs healthy fats to stay functioning properly. Fat supplies the essential fatty acids that our bodies can't produce on their own and some vitamins such as A, D, E, K, depend upon it for absorption so without enough fat in your diet you may experience deficiency symptoms which could lead to more serious health problems down the line!

Reduce Carbs Instead of Counting Calories

Scientists have been telling us that the secret to weight loss is in calories. They said if you eat more than your body burns, then it will lead to fatness and obesity; but this isn't true! The answer lies within cutting down on carbs rather than focusing only on what we consume for snacks or meals - fattier food with fewer carbohydrates is much better at satisfying our cravings instead of low-fat options that leave us hungry for more.

OK, let's move on to the list of fatty foods that can help you reduce your waistline.

1) Eggs

Eggs are nutritious and a great source of protein that can help you feel full for longer hours, which means that they'll keep off those mid-morning hunger pangs. They're also chockfull of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B 12, riboflavin, folic acid, selenium, phosphorus, zinc, magnesium and iron.

2) Avocado

Everyone loves guacamole, but did you know that this green fruit is also wonderful in salads? It's a fabulous source of healthy fats, which are key to weight loss because they make you feel fuller for longer. They can also reduce your risk of diabetes by controlling blood sugar levels. According to the British Journal of Nutrition, avocados are good for reducing cholesterol levels too!

3) Butter

Butter has gotten a bad rap in recent years thanks to it being claimed as one of the major causes behind cardiovascular disease - but NOT ALL BUTTER IS BAD FOR YOU! Grass-fed butter contains CLA or conjugated linolenic acid that can raise HDL (the good kind of cholesterol) but reduces LDL (the bad kind of cholesterol) in the body. You can use it in cooking or spread it on toast with cinnamon to make a healthy late-night snack!

4) Nuts

Nuts are high in protein, fiber and omega-3 fatty acids which make them the perfect food to eat to feel full for longer. They taste terrific too: sprinkle some almonds on your salad or blend a bit of cashew butter with cinnamon and maple syrup and spread it over wholewheat toast!

5) Coconut Oil & Olive Oil

Both of these oils are good for you because they contain healthy saturated fats like lauric acid and oleic acid that protect your liver, promote good cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol! They're also effective at speeding up your metabolism so they can help you lose weight. You can make your own mayonnaise with them and it tastes delicious (just blend two egg yolks and slowly drizzle in a cup of olive oil, then add lemon juice, mustard powder or whatever seasoning you want to taste). You can also use coconut oil to cook with as it's very heat-resistant - just don't let it smoke as that releases free radicals.

6) Cheese

I know what you're thinking: cheese is full of fat so how can it help me lose weight? Well, cheese is high in protein and calcium which means that you'll feel full for longer after eating it! It's also full of zinc, B vitamins and vitamin K2 (which helps prevent arterial calcification). I like adding a bit of feta to my salad: you won't feel like snacking half an hour later!

7) Red meat

Red meat is full of iron, zinc and CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), which can help you lose weight. It goes great with vegetables like steamed broccoli (you should also eat lots of green veggies to give your body the nutrients it needs during a fat-loss program). I'd recommend cooking the steak rare so that you'll absorb more CLA from it!

So there you have it - 7 delicious fatty foods that are actually very good for you!
